This armillary sphere sundial can be found in the Herb Garden in Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens.
The sundial is 2.5m tall, It weighs 1.5 tonnes and the ring is decorated with 38 well known herbs.
The following inscriptions are engraved in the base of the sun dial:
"This armillary sphere sundial has been made possible by a donation from the nieces and nephews of Nigel Malcolm Hardy Arnott(1910 - 1991), who admired these Gardens."
"Designed by Margaret Folkard and John Ward of Sundials Australia, cast in silicon bronze by David Mune at the Art Foundary, with herbs drawn by Marion Westmacott and scultured by Karin Rumpf, 1993."
