Emes Alarm Clock

The photos below are of a small 1960s German 'Emes' alarm clock. I bought it a few weeks ago for a fairly good price since it wasn't working.

The clock has a protective leather cover. I placed an English penny in the photo to give an indication of the size of the clock.

The balance wheel is visible here. When I removed the back cover from the clock it started ticking again - a fair amount of dirt came out of the clock so that may have been the problem.

just found your site. could you possibly know where to find the button winders for an old Emes 31? I have the 2 key winders but no button winders on it.

Hi,

I have a clock which is the same but in a red case.
Would you have any idea how I can find out what its worth?
Thanks.

Hi Jane,

Thanks for your note.

To get an idea of what a clock is worth I often look for similar clocks on eBay. If there aren't any you can add an eBay alert to let you know when someone has listed a clock that matches your search criteria.

The clock I have isn't worth much, I think I paid less than £2 for it.

Hope that helps
Best regards
Alan
