Emes Alarm Clock

The photos below are of a small 1960s German 'Emes' alarm clock. I bought it a few weeks ago for a fairly good price since it wasn't working.

The clock has a protective leather cover. I placed an English penny in the photo to give an indication of the size of the clock.

Close-up shot of the clock

The balance wheel is visible here. When I removed the back cover from the clock it started ticking again - a fair amount of dirt came out of the clock so that may have been the problem.

J.C. Vickery

I have another J.C. Vickery clock thanks to eBay. The balance wheel is in good condition but the main spring is either missing or broken. The clock was probably originally mounted on a wood or leather stand.

Kundo Anniversary Clock

This is a Kundo anniversary clock designed to run for 400 days with one winding. It was made by Kieninger & Obergfell in Germany in the 1950s.

When I got the clock it's suspension spring was broken which I have now replaced. I left the clock running last night but it stopped during the night - so I have some more work to do.
