The clock movement is electrical (the power lead gives it away).
Belmont is a small village on the outskirts of the London Borough of Sutton. Apparently the village strongly owes its development to the presence of Banstead Asylum. The Asylum has now been closed and demolished.

A beautiful clock, but the wire spoils the view
"The clock movement is electrical (the power lead gives it away). This made me giggle because I did, in fact, not notice the power lead! The church looks older than 1915, it is lovely and quaint.
